We received Simon in July of 2009
and he was diagnosed with epilepsy August of 2010. One evening in July
of 2011 due to a series of prolonged seizures, unexpectedly died in his
father’s arms. Devastated over the loss of this loving, loyal, trusting,
childlike, clumsy, gentle creature. we will never forget that he
was a mama's boy, always in the shadow of his mama's step. We will
always remember how he could clear out a room when he had a case of the
winds and would look up at you clueless. We will always remember that he
loved his toys and when asked, "Simon, where's your ball," he would jump
up running around looking for his ball only to bring it to you, laying
it in your lap and looking at you with anticipation. We will always
remember his big WOOF, alerting us to any unknown sound. We will always
remember this big ol’ lug, lying on his couch with his head on his
sister’s rear end taking his afternoon nap. We will never forget his
child like antics of galloping through the house, twisting and turning,
jumping up and down and gently biting his sisters stub of a tail only to
watch them play that would bring a smiles and laughter into our home. This gift was given to us to watch over only to give
only to give back so much joy and love, looking at us with his trusting
eyes and his gentle touch. We write this with heavy hearts and a home
that seems not the same without him. We truly miss our big boy and will
never forget him. He will always be our hearts.
